Existing Website Audit
Bill Gates said "There will be 2 types of businesses in the new Millennium, those online, and those out of business."

Before we conduct any optimisation or online marketing activities for you we need to fully understand what you offer, who your online audience is, how are they looking for your product or service online and what are your competitors up to.  A personal consultation is the best approach to help analyse if your business could benefit from a website and if you have a website is it maximising return. We also look at how much you are spending. This initial analysis usually involves a combination of the following:

  • Client survey
  • Existing website review
  • Competitor analysis
  • Summary and recommendations

We compile this information into reports which are used as the basis for optimisation and online marketing services that we conduct for you.

Client survey

This is a detailed survey which gives us a good understanding of your business requirements and key goals for achieving success online.

Existing website review

If you have an existing website we do the following analysis using your keyword universe to identify key areas that need improvement to enhance your website's optimisation and usability.

  • Search engine ranking review – for the three key players (Google, Yahoo & MSN). We generally focus on these three because they make up over 90% of the search engine market.
  • Link popularity review – this will determine how many websites link to your website which is one of the best ways to measure your website's online awareness and overall visibility and is a very important part of search engine optimisation.
  • Search engine saturation review – this will identify how many pages a given search engine has in its index for your website.
  • Website optimisation review – to identify key areas of your website that need improvement such as:
    • page titles
    • meta tags
    • heading tags
    • content
  • Statistics Review (if available) – to identify current traffic levels and key indicators

and to identify issues that hinder or penalise your website's rankings in areas such as:

  • site navigation
  • html code structure
  • multimedia use such as flash
  • multiple domains pointing to the same site
